German BASF Reorganized Leather And Textile Chemicals Business

The German BASF company combines leather and textile chemical business together to form a global global organization with two separate operation departments to meet their respective market demands.

The new leather and textile chemical Global Trading Company is headquartered in Singapore and will open early next year.

The company will distribute regional teams to major global markets.

ReinhardLeppkes, the newly appointed chief executive of the company, said that the establishment of two business departments through institutional adjustment would be more conducive to global management and enhance regional influence.

In other news, BASF will increase the global price of polytetrahydrofuran, polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF) by 150 US dollars per ton, and take effect immediately.

BASF claims that the price increases are due to large market demand, high energy and raw material costs.
