High-End Design Talents Of Shenzhen Garment Industry

According to the relevant people of Shenzhen clothing association, the overall R & D and design level of Shenzhen fashion industry ranks the leading position in China, especially for women's wear.

At present, there are more than 15000 fashion designers in Shenzhen. Clothing design complies with the needs of diversified fashion and personalized service, and is widely known both at home and abroad. Many Shenzhen designer brands have become a unique scenic spot.

Shenzhen has sprung up with distinctive designer fashion brands such as "Providence", "Euro bran", "art of the Hui", "grand exhibition", "Kai Wen" and "Deng Hao". Shenzhen designers have made frequent appearances at home and abroad exhibitions and fashion week, and won numerous honors.

Famous designer Liang Zi and Luo Zheng have won the Golden Summit Award, the highest honor of Chinese clothing industry. Xie Haiping has been taking part in the London Fashion week for three years in a row. It is a wave of Chinese style and is called China's "Lssey Miyake" by international fashion media. In November last year, the 2011 spring summer series China International Fashion Week, three women's clothing brands such as Yi Hui, cam Wen, Deng Hao and so on participated in the stage of honor, and became the dazzling stars in the ceremony of Shenzhen.

Yi Zhi Hui won the 2010 women's costume design award. He Shujun, the chief designer of the brand, won the sixteenth China top ten fashion designer. Deng Hao also won two awards for the 2010 Best Women's designers and 2010 knitting design awards.

This is the second year of Deng Hao and Yi Hui's podium on the China International Fashion week. Deng Hao and Zhao Huizhou, chief designer of Yi Hui, both won the 2009 women's costume design award.

Although Shenzhen has many excellent designers, Shenzhen's clothing brand is still facing the bottleneck of high-end design talents, and the shortage of high-end talents is a major problem for the current garment enterprises.

From the perspective of talent training, the general undergraduate course of clothing majors should learn for at least four or five years, but it can not keep pace with the rapid development of clothing enterprises, and the curriculum is lagging behind the market, and the mode of personnel training is relatively backward.

Insiders say that to become an excellent fashion designer, there are four basic requirements: first, a clear positioning for individuals.

Only in the premise of talent and hobbies can it be possible to succeed in the fashion design industry.

Secondly, we need to have a good attitude.

Fashion design is a hard job. It's not as simple as flowers and applause seen at the stage.

Third, we must have a dedicated spirit.

Fourth, designers are very important in the enterprise, but they do not mean that all the work of the enterprise is centered on the designer.

What businesses need is designers and products that can help companies generate income. Designers should not only emphasize their personal characteristics, but also learn to think about places and look at problems from the perspective of enterprises.

Experts in the industry pointed out that "designers are not the soul of an enterprise. Designers are like the body of a crab. Other employees are all legs of a crab. No designer is a dead crab."

So designers must learn to communicate and cooperate.

At present, many practitioners in the fashion design industry do not have much plans for the future. Senior practitioners remind us that in order to succeed in the fashion design industry, we must set goals at the stage of study.

Shenzhen is mainly middle and high class women's clothing, while Guangzhou is mainly engaged in garment wholesale. Designers should look at the market, feel the pulse for themselves, and choose suitable local development.

From a career perspective, there should be short, medium and long term goals. For example, short-term targets should be what kind of designer to make in 3 to 5 years, or in the next 3 years.

People in the industry believe that the clothing industry is very different from other industries, and has enough width and depth. Designers are also divided into buyers, solid and management types, so the self positioning should be clear.

The era of market segmentation has arrived. Through learning, we must exercise expertise. For example, the use of knitted and woolen knitted fabrics is very high in the brand, but the market lacks talents with expertise in this field. Therefore, we must pay attention to market trends and strive to integrate expertise and style into the brand characteristics and market demands of our enterprises, which will help us succeed in the industry.
