The ninth Cross Strait Symposium on textile industry cooperation was held in Yinchuan in September 2nd by the China Textile Industry Association. The delegation from Taiwan, Wang Wenyuan, chairman of the textile industry association, was led by more than forty people.

The theme of this session is "cooperation and development of cross strait textile industry in the post ECFA era".

Recent industries in Taiwan rush to catch up

With the help of various industries, China's textile industry has already started a close interaction in 1991. In 1992, the first cross-strait textile industry cooperation seminar was held in Beijing. When the second seminar was held in Taipei in 1996, the two sides decided to organize the seminar in rotation every two years.

The twenty years of exchanges between Taiwan Textile Association and China Textile Industry Association have created many opportunities for cooperation between the two sides of the textile industry.

In a recent eighth session in Taipei in December 2008, the memorandum signed by the two sessions was not only made by the chairman of the China Textile Industry Association Du Yuzhou, but also the three major aspects of "trade cooperation", "brand cultivation" and "technological innovation".

The two sides have been more active in implementing the joint memorandum signed by the two sessions. As of the end of August this year, the activities of the two sessions have reached 18 according to the memorandum, and there are more than 450 entries on both sides of the Strait.

This symposium is a member of the delegation of the chairman of the Taiwan Textile Development Association, chairman Wang Wenyuan, and is strong in Taiwan, including the new century in the Far East.

The theme of this symposium is "cooperation and development of textile industry in the post ECFA era". First, Li Rui, vice chairman of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, welcomed the speech, and delivered a speech by the head of the China Textile Industry Association, chairman of Duyu Zhou and chairman of the two chairman of Wang Wenyuan.

In the morning seminar, the Secretary General of the two sessions separately reported on the development of the textile industry in mainland China and Taiwan. Huang Weiji, Secretary General of the textile and Development Association, suggested that in the post ECFA era, the textile enterprises across the Taiwan Strait should invest in each other, strengthen their advantages and develop trade cards and expand trade with joint sales and participation in exhibitions.

In the afternoon seminar, the two topics of "investment and trade" and "brand and design" were discussed. The meeting was carried out in a pragmatic and frank atmosphere. The participants firmly believed that the two sides' textile industry would be able to complement each other and jointly seek the prosperity of the textile industry and create a win-win situation in the global layout.
