Experts "Bombardment" College Clothing Education Graduate Level Is Too Low, Hard To Find A Job.

"To find a mature fashion designer in college, can't find it. No matter what type of University, they dare to come out to do the clothing class. Last weekend, at the high level Forum on fashion industry and innovative talents training held in Wuhan Textile University in 2010, Li Chaode, Dean of the school of design and art of Soochow University, "approved" clothing education in Chinese universities.


Li Chaode said that China is a large garment country, and there are mainly three major pieces of clothing designers currently needed: the craftsmen and make-up teachers trained by higher vocational and technical education, the engineering service personnel trained by ordinary universities, such as fabrics, production machinery, and so on, and the last one is a senior practitioner engaged in fashion design.


But from the present situation of our country, higher education has confused the three pieces. In order to make profits, many universities, regardless of whether they have the foundation of clothing design and production, have launched "clothing design" and other majors to cultivate a large number of junior clothing talents. And the mature fashion designers that the society needs is completely absent from universities.


Li Chaode said that the current talent market for clothing is that senior and skilled graduates are eager to get the job. Regular college graduates can not find jobs, but real high-level talents are hard to find.


How to improve this situation, Li Chaode thinks: colleges and universities should not blindly pursue economic benefits. When launching clothing majors, they must have their own characteristics. They must not be alike or unconditionally.
